Tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) and intravaginal slingplasty (IVS) for stress urinary incontinence: A multicenter randomized trial
Article Abstract:
The efficacy and morbidity of 2 minimally invasive procedures for stress urinary incontinence is compared using a multicenter randomized trial. The results have shown that both tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) and intravaginal slingplasty (IVS) methods are effective for stress incontinence, but 9% of women treated with the IVS required removal of the tape for erosions.
