The antiphospholipid syndrome
Article Abstract:
Research shows that in in vivo, the antiphospholipid antibody syndrome is an autoimmune condition in which antibodies bind to phospholipids as illustraed by the phospholipid-binding cofactor beta(sub)2GPI. Results indicate that antiphospholipid antibodies induce procoagulant expression and proadhesive molecules on endothelial cells.

On prions, proteasomes, and mad cows
Article Abstract:
The impact of the prion protein (PrP) on the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway in animals, including cows is studied. These proteins are found to highly interfere in the proteasomal activity of the animals, leading to prion diseases and madness in cows.
