Article Abstract:
The 2004 Safety + Health Salary Survey shows a sharp increase in salaries and staffing for professional safety when compared over a two-year period. The survey revealed that better educated, more experienced safety managers were commanding higher salaries. Managers in the manufacturing sector earned significantly higher salaries compared to the other sectors, while staffing was expected to increase significantly in the construction, public administration and transportation sectors.

The development of new jobs for safety personnel is in the offing with many companies looking out for professional. The economic recession period is over and with it there is development in technology that will contribute positively for the employment if safety personnel. The field of nanotechnology is especially looks promising.

Article Abstract:
The results of the survey conducted on safety professionals, and on the salaries they make each year, are discussed. Results indicate that, most of them perceive an increase in their salaries, and also perceive their jobs to be stable.
