The educational needs of nursing home nurses
Article Abstract:
UK nursing homes have become an important part of elderly care provision during the late 1990s, due mainly to governmental changes regarding community care and private health. Nurses working in private nursing homes need specialist skills which cover infection control, rehabilitation, dementia care and palliative care. It is important to establish a nationally recognized qualification for nursing home nurses, which would ensure patients receive the best possible care.
