The goods on glycerol
Article Abstract:
Glycerol is the basis of the triglyceride (fat) molecule. Once separated from fatty acids, it cannot be regarded as fat or carbohydrate. Consuming glycerol, even in very large quantities, does not change blood glucose or insulin levels. Some experts believe that taking glycerol might assist exercise performance because it allows the body to retain more fluid.
