Trends in the use of intracytoplasmic sperm injection in the United States
Article Abstract:
A study analyzes the temporal trends in the use of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in the U.S. and examines differences in the use of ICSI between states with and those without mandated insurance coverage. Findings reveal a sharp increase in ICSI since 1995, with no change in the proportion of patients receiving treatment for male-factor infertility.

Anesthesia awareness and the bispectral index
Article Abstract:
A study to investigate whether the bispectral index (BIS)-based protocol is better than an end-trial anesthetic gas (ETAG)-based protocol in reducing anesthesia awareness in patients at high risk for this complication using B-Unaware Trial is presented. Results show that the BIS monitoring was no better at reducing the rate of anesthesia awareness.
