The role of nitric oxide in mediating adenosine-induced increases in uterine blood flow in the oophorectomized nonpregnant sheep
Article Abstract:
Adenosine appears to stimulate nitric oxide production in the uterus, which in turn relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow. Nitric oxide is produced by all blood vessels, including uterine blood vessels.
