Article Abstract:
The Supreme Court should not judge sexual-harassment cases on the basis of whether harassment affects the victim's psychological well-being. Workers could face dismissal if they show that they are adversely affected by performing poorly on the job, and they cannot prove damage if they perform well.

Much offensive behavior by men can be stopped before it reaches a legal definition of harassment. Strategies include confronting or asking an ally to confront the person; document all complaints from the start; find out about other women's complaints and work together to stop the abuse.
