The syndrome of amniotic fluid embolism: A potential contribution of bradykinin
Article Abstract:
The plasma bradykinin-generating capacity was measured serially in a patient experiencing amniotic fluid embolism to assess whether bradykinin is involved in amniotic fluid embolism. The plasma bradykinin-generating capacity was found to be very low at the time of the initial clinical manifestations, which were characterized by severe hypotension, cardiorespiratory arrest, and coagulopathy, thus suggesting a role for bradykinin release in the pathophysiology of amniotic fluid embolism.

Persistence of adverse obstetric and neonatal outcomes in monochorionic twins after exclusion of disorders unique to monochorionic placentation
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to assess obstetric and neonatal outcomes in dichorionic twins and monochorionic-diamniotic twins. It was observed that monochrionic diamniotic twins have a higher risk of perinatal complications than dichorionic twin gestations, even after exclusion of disorders unique to monochorionic placentation.

Prediction of growth discordance in twins with the use of abdominal circumference ratios
Article Abstract:
The study assesses the accuracy of sonographic prediction of twin birth weight discordance using the abdominal circumference ratio. Twin birth weight discordance might be predicted at any gestational age with an abdominal circumference ration <0.93.
