Prognostic role of immunosuppressive acidic protein in advanced ovarian cancer
Article Abstract:
Immunosuppressive acidic protein (IAP) may prove useful at predicting outcome in cases of advanced ovarian cancer. IAP has been associated with impaired immune system response in cases of advanced cancer. Researchers measured IAP levels in blood samples from 80 women taken before beginning treatment for advanced ovarian cancer. The higher the blood levels, the lower the chance of disease survival. This held true independent of the stage and characteristics of the tumor, whether some tumor was left after surgery, or the response to chemotherapy.

Terminologia Anatomica versus unofficial descriptions and nomenclature of the fasciae and ligaments of the female pelvis: A dissection-based comparative study
Article Abstract:
The organization of connective tissue in the female pelvis is investigated the results are compared with the official nomenclature and descriptions furnished by the Terminologia Anatomica and those reported in the most widely diffused English and non-English literature. Results suggest that the official terminology applied to the connective structures of the female pelvis could be profitably revised and expanded.
