Travellers' ills
Article Abstract:
Travel health is becoming increasingly complicated and contentious and nurses in general practice have limited resources to draw on. Nurses running travel clinics need to be aware of developments in travel health and study days can help to raise awareness. Travel clinics need to provide more than just vaccinations, and should be more involved in health education, with nurses giving advice on a variety of topics, including sun damage and sexually transmitted diseases.

Article Abstract:
It can be challenging to care for people suffering from dementia who have experienced a traumatic event in early life. A special home for elderly Jewish people often have to face these challenges. There are no reminiscence groups, but staff are trained to be sensitive to painful memories. Many of the residents are professionals and, although their mutual experience of escape unites them, it is often unspoken.
