Treating primary brain tumour with dexamethasone
Article Abstract:
The effective administration of dexamethasone steroid treatment for brain tumour management is essential if patients are not to suffer extra, disturbing side-effects which may have a direct result on their eventual recovery. The Royal College of Physicians has produced a framework for the therapeutic use of dexamethasone at all levels of brain tumour therapy. Poor sleep patterns, depression and hyperglycemia can result from the incorrect administration of dexamethasone.
