Turn for the worse: Peyronie's disease can put an unwelcome kink in your sex life
Article Abstract:
Peyronie's disease, a curvature of the penis when erect, affects one out of every 100 men between the ages of 40 to 60. Caused by an injury or injuries to the erect penis, inelastic scar tissue forms on the top side. Vitamin E and two surgical procedures are available as treatment if the scar tissue does not fade on its own.

Hospital emergency room nurses have to make critical decisions about which cases deserve immediate treatment. An anecdotal look at one case in which the patient was in pain but not dying makes triage status seem very appealing.
