Let's work together to control infectious diseases
Article Abstract:
The international community should work together to control infectious diseases that were thought to be eradicated. Diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and diphtheria are beginning to threaten public health once again. Global trade and travel have been factors in the spread of disease.

Ethical aspects of early diagnosis of genetic diseases
Article Abstract:
Cultural, social or personal desires to keep genetic disorders secret must be balanced against the risk of morbidity to spouses, family members and the community. As always, early detection and treatment increases survival rates, but must always be voluntary and confidential.

Chronic degenerative diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, correlate positively with the life styles that accompany a high standard of living. Developing nations need to take affirmative steps to prevent such diseases from taking hold as they grow economically.
