Home oxygen therapy is an expensive but necessary intervention and is important that is prescribed appropriately. A specialist team would assess the oxygen requirements of patients to avoid unnecessary prescribing, to prescribe the most appropriate form of oxygen therapy, and the patient's need be met more effectively and economically through a streamlined oxygen service.

Importance of early referral in sudden loss of hearing
Article Abstract:
The personal and clinical characteristics of patients suffering from sudden hearing loss are examined. The significant link was found between quick referral to treatment and recovery, the nurse holds a central role in identifying this group of patients and ensuring their referral to further treatment.
