WHO in emergencies - the challenge of partnership and complementarity
Article Abstract:
WHO adopted a new policy for emergency and humanitarian policies in 1995. The revised policy calls for WHO to encourage and support emergency preparedness programs on national and regional levels and to improve its health services coordination activities.

Street girls and substance use
Article Abstract:
Street girls in Latin America aged 13 to 18 use psychoactive substances to ease their hunger and suffering. However, many have been helped by the World Health Organization's project for street children in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
