WHO's Global School Health Initiative
Article Abstract:
WHO has established a School Health Team to serve the organization in its plans for a Global School Health Initiative. The plan will rely on the strategies of increasing advocacy for school health, mobilizing resources of 'health-promoting schools,' and pushing for new commitments from national governments to help in this area.

A health-promoting school starts with imagination
Article Abstract:
Schools that are effective in promoting student health can be very creative in devising new programs. This requires parents to work together with school officials and teachers, as well as public officials from outside the school, in evaluating the social and physical environments of classrooms in terms of health effects.
