Wage a food fight against cancer
Article Abstract:
Studies have demonstrated the existence of a relationship between eating patterns and cancer. Statistics showing that 35% of all cancer deaths are diet-related prove that food preferences play a vital role in determining susceptibility to this disease. To minimize one's risk for cancer, it is important to eat a variety of vitamin-rich foods and stay on a low-fat diet. Such a diet should include fruits, vegetables, whole grains and complex carbohydrates. Avoiding smoked, salt-cured and nitrite-cured foods will also reduce the risk for esophagus and stomach cancer.

Safety directors: too many tasks, too liitle time
Article Abstract:

The position of safety professionals has broadened substantially during the past years and now some large companies not only have a safety director but a number of other health and safety professionals, such as loss-control managers, ecologists, safety engineers and health inspectors.
