Article Abstract:
Surveys highlight the fact that the nursing fraternity is not fully engaged with the National Program for IT (NPIT) as it is considered the only way to document patient care in the future, besides supporting working tools such as cardiac monitor with automatic diagnosis, or the infusion pump that indicates a blockage. Nurses have to become savvy not only in computer literacy but also in the management of information.

Smoking cessation and health inequality: An equity audit
Article Abstract:
The vital role of nurses in undertaking brief interventions and directing patients to NHS stop smoking services is emphasized. A report is presented on an audit that aimed to determine whether the local NHS stop smoking service delivered a 52-week quit rate in line with the national average of 15% and relates the findings to health inequalities.
