Whistle while you work?
Article Abstract:
The outcome of the Graham Pink industrial tribunal leaves potential whistle-blowers in the National Health Service still unable to predict the results of speaking out. Such actions easily go astray and can quickly become out of control. Those wishing to speak out without fear of reprisal should either stick to specific issues or remain annonymous.

Sick with laughter
Article Abstract:

Displacing stress through laughter has a beneficial effect on staff. Television programmes such as 'Casualty' fail to accurately represent hospital life by their seriousness.

Some nurses fear a shift of mundane medical tasks to nursing. Extending a nurse's role may change the character of nursing.
