Why people with diabetes suffer from ulceration
Article Abstract:
The presence of diabetes causes various pathophysical changes because of the chronic disease process, which often results in numerous foot-related complications. The complications arising from the circulatory, metabolic and neuropathic changes are found to cause foot ulceration in a patient, which should be screened and assessed early for a proper treatment.

A study examines the effect of self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) on glycaemic control in South Asian, type 2 diabetes patients. The results conclude that SMBG is an effective tool for helping to control diabetes.
