Winter itch: taking the sting out of low humidity

Low humidity is the primary of cause of dry skin during the winter months. Older people are particularly susceptible to this condition, and often experience flaky, itchy skin. Using a good moisturizer after bathing usually helps. Prescription medications can be used in severe cases.
