How to test your color lab
Article Abstract:
Having prints made of negatives with existing good prints is one way to test the competence of a new color-print photofinisher. Another strategy is to shoot a variety of difficult scenes as a test roll. These should include a backlit portrait and dark and light scenes.

Test your camera with one roll of film
Article Abstract:
A series of tests for the shutter and diaphragm, lens, autofocus, and exposure accuracy of an SLR camera are described. Slide film must be used for the tests instead of print film, because slide film is better for detecting small exposure variations.
