A return to the 40-hour week
Article Abstract:
The conclusions arrived at based on a study of working hour patterns across Germany are presented. For the purpose of the study contractual working week, actual working week, employees' preferred working hours and overtime working were taken into consideration. The results indicate that the overall working hours hovers around 40-hours a week.

Industrial conflicts in Sweden have seen a significant drop in 2004 when compared to 2003. A study on the earning trends in Sweden shows that high earning workers have been receiving higher pay increases when compared to the rest in the country.
