Canadian health care: Harmful to a companyEs financial health
Article Abstract:
The Medicare system in Canada is a tradition that few dare to tinker with. Universal health care is publicly funded and access to private health care providers prohibited. The rising costs due to these factors have impacted employees in terms of longer waiting times, loss of worker productivity and erosion of the available facilities. The burden of these higher costs is falling on the corporates who have to provide more funds towards healthcare of their employees.
