Does supporting employees' career adaptability lead to commitment, turnover, or both?
Article Abstract:
Today, employees are being encouraged to enhance their career adaptability through a combination of career resilience, development activities, and networking. The consequences of management approaches such as participation in decision-making (PDM) and encouragement of discretion in task performance, which fostered career adaptability, are investigated. While these approaches helped in building affective commitment, they also led to the departure of valued employees.
