Research shows that good mentoring relationships result in important benefits to proteges, mentors and their organizations. Organizations create and encourage good mentoring relationships to ensure that the next set of managers is qualified to assume leadership roles, and the mentor and protege build a relationship that is reciprocal, respectful and productive.
