France: the new Retirement Savings Plan law
Article Abstract:
The new Retirement Savings Plan law (Plans d'Epargne Retraite) being pushed in France's Upper House aims to reform France's pension plan and pension fund system. The new law, while offering employees the provision of voluntary membership in insurance firms, mandates that all workers must be given membership. The new proposed plans are not expected to gain popularity among employers in the near term.
