The European Union is seeking to implement changes to the occupational health and safety regulations which would place more emphasis on action rather than rule-making. Modern day working techniques can have both physical and psychological effects on workers, which companies should take into account when developing working practices. Using management risk methods would help firms reduce occupational injuries and time off for ill health.
