No-win, no-fee approach to equal pay cases causes conflict in the NE
Article Abstract:
Solicitor Stefan Cross' aggressive pursuit in the North East for equal pay for work of equal value is antagonizing not only local authorities, who have been slow in implementing it, but also trade unions, who feel that his actions are hindering their efforts to procure the best deals for all members. Cross is also questioning the legality of the agreements made in the cases of the councils - Redcar and Cleveland, and Newcastle.
