Pre-employment referencing aids your bottom line
Article Abstract:
Discussions on pre-employment referencing are usually focused on its legal aspects. Articles on these references are either concerned with the risk of defamation suits or concentrated on the ability to avoid negligent hiring lawsuits. However, employers should realize that the usefulness of pre-employment references is not limited to these areas. They should be aware that this staffing tool can be a powerful instrument for reducing turnover and boosting quality and productivity. A conservative estimate shows that pre-employment referencing can cut turnover rates by 5%. It is also shown to improve quality and productivity because individuals who lie about their past work performance and track record in their resumes are uncovered and thus not hired. Therefore, only capable and resourceful individuals are left in the pool of candidates for employment. As a result, the bottom line of the organization is ultimately improved.

How medical practices can find the right front-office employees through testing
Article Abstract:
Medical practices can reduce the likelihood of hiring underperforming front-office employees with the use of appropriate employment tests. Unfortunately, many medical practitioners are unaware of the benefits of testing, are uncomfortable with employment tests, or have misconceptions about the legal consequences of using such tests. Essential to the successful hiring of employees is the selection of the right assessment method. Wonderlic Personnel Test Inc offers three employment tests that have proven quite effective. The Wonderlic Personnel Test measures general intelligence, the Hay Aptitude Number Perception Test evaluates short-term memory with numerical dictation, while the Hay Aptitude Name Finding Test gauges short-term memory and alphabetical detail. Tips on starting the employment testing are offered.
