Proposals for Commission for Equality and Human Rights unveiled
Article Abstract:
A new Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR) was created in the United Kingdom in early 2004, to challenge discrimination and promote human rights, especially in the workplace. While the government's initiative has found wide approval, there are several organizations who believe that there is a crucial need for single equalities legislation to accompany the work of the CEHR.

Pregnancy protection applies to fixed-term contract
Article Abstract:
Court cases information regarding fixed-term contracts and pregnancy are given. The European Court of Justice ruled that it is unlawful to refuse to renew a fixed term employment contract due to pregnancy.
