Religion and labor: reawakening the alliance
Article Abstract:
The association between church activists and trade unionists, strong in the 1930s but abandoned since the 1960s, is being restored in the late 1990s. This renewal has been motivated partly by moral examination of the labor movement, and partly by religious concerns for social justice.

Drug testing: does it really improve labor productivity?
Article Abstract:
Mandatory drug testing in the workplace appears to have reduced productivity by as much as 20%. Reasons for this include nonrepresentative samples, imprecise estimates from small sample size, and omitted variables in the research.
