The role of inpatriation in global staffing
Article Abstract:
Globalization of business is resulting in many firms realizing the advantages of employing native managers in foreign countries, where one they would have employed an expatriate. firms which develop global staffing strategies are more likely to succeed in emerging markets, where long-term committment is required to achieve a competitive edge. An inpatriate management level utilizes the local knowledge of highly skilled workers to the firms best advantage.

The concept of pluralistic strategic global human resource management orientation for network-oriented global companies is discussed. The pluralistic approach could play a role in boosting understanding of the co-operative impact of multicultural formal and informal standards in multinational networks.
