'The times they are a changin?' Transformative organizational innovations in financial services in the UK
Article Abstract:
A study of organizational change in the UK financial services sector found management often acted in a contradictory way which led to a decline in relationships between workers and employers. Some new ideas do not live up to expectations and often led to new areas of disagreement. Organizational innovations (OIs) did not result in the abolition of bureaucracy and sometimes increased the bureaucratic process. The introduction of OIs were frequently unsuccessful because their design was at fault. Four providers of financial services were studied for two years.

Captive insurance companies
Article Abstract:
Captive insurance companies manage almost 20% of all property and casualty premiums in Europe. With millions in premiums to handle, the profitability of captives is sometimes overlooked, ironically, by the very people who pay premiums to these companies. Captive insurance companies are usually formed by the company itself that needs employee insurance. Most conventional offerings are unable to meet the insurance demands of these companies, which is why a customized insurance scheme is necessary.
