Weapons at work
Article Abstract:
The ethical aspects of a gun-carrying employee in a company with a 'no-weapons-on-the-premises' policy is examined. Three approaches are suggested in dealing with the dilemma which may include the setting up of a meeting with the concerned employee to verify the allegation, informing the concerned individual of existing company policies prohibiting the carrying of weapons, and elaborating on state laws concerning the carrying of arms. The execution of the approaches calls for an open discussion with the concerned individual in a direct, and quickly facilitated manner.
