The term workplace learning and performance (WLP) is replacing 'training and development' for many practitioners. WLP, a descriptor for the field and profession connects learning and all of the activities that support learning to the improvement of the individual, group, and organizational performance.

Learning outsourcing: A reality check

IBM and ASTD conducted a survey on the human resource executives in August 2004 for an outsourcing 'reality check' in the learning outsourcing market. The results suggest that it is a young and emerging market, which is poised for growth in future.
