What's good for the goose: a critical review of unions as employers and the continuing struggle toward equal benefits in the workplace
Article Abstract:
This article discusses benefits provided by unions to their employees' domestic partners. The author examines institutional homophobia in labor movements and its relationship to the treatment of homosexual and unmarried employees, finding that unions looking for equal treatment are more willing to provide benefits so they can hold themselves as model employers.

Toward a new labor rights movement

This article suggests that worker's rights in the U.S. are sacrificed in order to earn a living, subjecting employees to the tyranny of the corporation. The authors provide alternatives to ineffective legislation as a method of extending constitutional rights to the workplace.
