What's happening in Morocco
Article Abstract:
The insurance industry in Morocco is valued at around $900 million in 1998. The market is dominated by automotive and business insurance lines, with only a small market share for life assurance products. The Moroccan government is planning to introduce laws that would extend social protection, thus boosting the insurance market. The legislation is aimed at increasing the number of participants in compulsory security, and developing a health-care system for all salaried workers.
