ABA convention steers clear of most controversy
Article Abstract:
The ABA's annual convention for 1993 was a congenial affair. Attorneys from around the nation were on their best behavior in light of increased lawyer-bashing. The group's pro-abortion rights policy was questioned, but no changes in policy were made. Clinton's inclusion of women and minorities in his judicial appointments was greeted with cheer at the Women in the Profession's luncheon. Janet Reno was well-received throughout the convention.
