Estate planning to make sure heirs receive maximum IRA distributions is discussed. Methods for determining the maximum distribution period after age 70.5, the time the IRA must either be distributed in a lump sum or paid out over the remaining life expectancy of the IRA owner, are discussed.

Taking the fast track to 2000; an ADR provider steps in to hurry resolution of Y2K disputes
Article Abstract:
The American Arbitration Association (AAA) will introduce fast-track procedures to arbitrate Y2K claims in Spr 1999. When disputes are submitted to arbitration, parties may agree by contract or mutual agreement to use the voluntary procedures. Mediators and arbitrators come from a list of 300 neutrals very knowledgeable about computers who have expressed a commitment to hear the cases on short notice. Resolving the cases is to take 105 days from filing with the AAA.
