House of Delegates; ABA involvement grows in alternative dispute resolution, certification
Article Abstract:
The ABA House of Delegates voted in Feb 1993 that a new Section of Dispute Resolution would replace the standing committee on that subject and also adopted the ABA Standards for Accreditation of Specialty Certification Programs for Lawyers developed by the Standing Committee on Specialization. These standards call for approval of such accreditations by the House of Delegates, but assign this a lower priority than state regulations.
