Bankruptcy law; unwinding settlements
Article Abstract:
The bankruptcy law reasons for unwinding or terminating settlement agreements are discussed. Included in this category are settlement agreements which constituted avoidable fraudulent conveyances, those under which payments were made which could abe avoided for the benefit of all creditors, and those constituting executory contracts that can be rejected in bankruptcy.

How press coverage can help corporations going through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy is discussed. Investors not knowledgeable about the bankruptcy process may, however, be harmed by statements not detailed enough for them issued by the debtor's corporate officers about the bankruptcy case.Laws and regulations to be complied with in issuing press releases are discussed.
