Based on results of bar exams, class of 1994 is one of brightest
Article Abstract:
The percentage of 1994 law school graduates who passed the bar exam was the highest in at least a quarter of a century. When test results started coming in, the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) checked for other explanations such as adjustments of the passing grade but found none. When the NCBE checked with the Law School Admission Council, it found that this group had the highest LSAT scores in the Council's history when entering law school and also had higher-than-usual undergraduate grade-point averages.

Job squeeze seems to take toll on number of 1992 applicants
Article Abstract:
The number of law school applicants has decreased for the first time in six years due in part to student worries about job prospects. Even well-known law schools have experienced a drop in applications. As of Mar 13, 1992, there were 82,773 applicants for about 44,000 openings in 1992 first-year classes, down 1.5% from the same time a year ago. These data came from the Law School Admission Services (LSAS).

Record numbers of test-takers passed bar exams nationwide
Article Abstract:
Unprecedented numbers of law school graduates passed the New York and California bar examinations in July 1992. In New York, the pass rate was 73.8% and in California, 59.4. 1992 was a good year for bar examinees in other states as well. The July bar examination is usually passed at a higher rate since a larger proportion of law school graduates are taking the test for the first time.
