Brit secret in Milbank coup: going native; U.S.-style headhunting is the key - no really money
Article Abstract:
The British law firm Freshfields used US style in employing a London-based search consultant who recruited four leading project and securities partners from the New York firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy directly. The four were Theodore D. Burke, Brian D Rance, Jonathan R Rod, and Gregory E May. Traditional British recruitment agencies advertise positions and await calls rather than approaching candidates directly.
