Business is way too eager to settle
Article Abstract:
The business community bears some of the blame for the over-supply of frivolous tort cases clogging up the courts because it has not made clear in the press how some consumers view big business as a deep pocket and are only too eager to file suit when very minor accidents happen. People need to take personal responsibility and to assess the actual economic injury before they hurry to the courthouse. Plaintiffs should not use the courthouse to give big business a message.
