Financial services
Article Abstract:
The Commission has called on the existing financial services legislation to be enforced effectively by member states, and to be more streamlined and flexible. The Commission has proposed measures covering both wholesale and retail financial markets, such as looking into whether legal actions may help specialized venture capital funds to mobilize pan-European funds. The dismantling of investment restrictions on supplementary pension funds is another proposal.
