On bar exam essay questions, sometimes being wrong is ok
Article Abstract:
Some state bar examiners are most interested in a lawyerly analysis and reject the idea that questions have a single right or a wrong answer. Also, in many states, grading bar examinations is a way for young attorneys needing extra money to moonlight. Some feel that younger graders are a good idea because they remember what taking the bar examination is like. Erica Moeser, the chairperson of the ABA's Section on Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar, feels that some older attorneys see grading as an honor and as pro bono work.
