Hiding in plain site; the hunt for metatags on the Internet is changing the field of trademark law
Article Abstract:
The use of metatags in ways that violate trademark law is discussed. Metatags help direct users to wanted information, but violators have started placing metatags with their competitor's trademarks into computer code. How users can then be diverted to the unauthorized company's Web site is discussed.

The pros and cons of Microsoft's and Netscape's web browsers, as well as of some lesser-known browsers such as Opera, are discussed. Ability to organize bookmarked sites, instant messaging services, and the ability to locate the correct Web page even if the searcher misspells his request slightly are among the items covered.

Article Abstract:
The possibility that temporary loss of Internet service could lead to the permanent loss of client e-mails is discussed. Some believe traditional mail, telephone calls, and faxes may be more reliable than e-mail, but backup methods for the e-mail are also suggested.
