How to get business quickly - advertise! Lady justice is blushing at these ads. Fellow lawyers don't think much of them, either
Article Abstract:
Mortgage closing specialist Rosalie Osias has gained attention and criticism with unprecedented racy ads in The New York Mortgage Press. Osias, who heads Law Offices of Rosalie Osias in Great Neck, NY, had little luck with traditional networking, but ads emphasizing sex appeal, motorcycles, and other nontraditional motifs quickly pushed her weekly mortgage-closing deals from a few to between 20 and 50, doubling her staff size. Other lawyers in the business and some female mortgage brokers are highly offended.

Patriot movement has lawyers in its sights; the right-wing fringe hates the bar as well as the federal government
Article Abstract:
Far-right extremist groups that most people consider anti-government are also vehemently opposed to the current legal system and the lawyers who make it work. Among the recent or continuing signs of the anti-lawyer movement's popularity are AntiShyster magazine, published by Alfred Adask; the Jubilee Newspaper; the American's Bulletin Newspaper; Preparedness Expo '95; and Waco Remembrance. The pro se lawyering movement, a related phenomenon, seeks simpler laws that do not need legal training to interpret.
